GEARSHIFT PPWR
GearShift PPWR is a software solution provided as a SaaS offering, intended to manage the reporting part of EU Packaging and Waste Packaging Regulation within the individual legislation of the membership countries.
The PPWR platform targets to co-exist with existing ERP- and Finance systems and specifically focuses on being a tool for handling the regulatory requirements associated with EPR / UPA.
The solution consists of 3 main components, and the platform offers a standard software solution with the ability to seamlessly configure and customise for individual needs.
THE FOUNDATION OF GEARSHIFT PPWR
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
GearShift PPWR is built upon regulatory guidelines for each specific country. This means that all functionality, features, data capture, and processes etc. are rooted in the need to comply with the appropriate legislation.
As of October 2025, the reporting requirements to comply with the Danish packaging proclamation is that all packaging and waste packaging actions and breakdown must fit into the matrix that hold these (Danish) headlines:
Private/Business:
The reporting must clarify where the disposal happens.
Material Categories:
The 13 different categories of waste and waste packaging material.
Environmental grading:
The environmental impact for each material ranging from low (green) to high (red).
Waste types:
The waste fraction associated with the disposal of each of material.

Personalise: The EPR/UPA reporting is unique to your business, so initially we have to analyse and conclude on your specific needs.
Ability: We configure the data integration, set up your product portfolio and map towards PPWR Product engine and catalogue, and generate your report(s).
Go Live: Without compromising test gates and quality standards we will perform a number of trials runs to ensure a smooth go live.
Extra support: We will of course be available with Hypercare and other support, if and when you need it.
